About the position

The Technician, Installation & Service role at Comcast involves providing exceptional customer service through broadband installation and troubleshooting activities. This position is designed as a trainee role, where the individual will gain skills and knowledge necessary for effective service delivery while working under supervision. The role emphasizes the importance of customer satisfaction and requires adherence to safety and company procedures during installations and service changes.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and changes of service while adhering to applicable codes and company procedures.
• Update customer accounts to ensure accurate records of products and services.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve customer inquiries to ensure products and services are functioning correctly.
• Educate customers on products and services to enhance their experience.
• Complete projects with minimal supervision and take proactive steps to engage customers.
• Demonstrate active listening and empathy to improve customer interactions.
• Use installation tools and perform jobs from heights, including climbing poles and using ladders.
• Pre-wire units for ready hook-up capabilities and work in confined spaces as needed.
• Drive company vehicle safely and maintain equipment for job performance.
• Lift and carry loads up to 70lbs and work in various environmental conditions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to demonstrate customer-focused service and professional etiquette.
• Technical knowledge related to broadband installation and troubleshooting.
• Strong adaptability and self-motivation skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and resilience.
