Requirements

  • Basic computational skills required.
  • Must demonstrate good judgement when carrying out duties as assigned.
  • A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience or commensurate demonstrated ability to perform essential functions.
  • English is required as the written and spoken language.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Possess a current stand-up forklift operator’s license or the ability to acquire and maintain required certification.
  • Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to hearing protection, bump caps, hair and beard nets, gloves, and safety glasses must be used in the performance of duties.
  • Proper lifting techniques must be employed at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a current sit-down forklift operator’s license or ability to acquire and maintain certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift and handheld device to load and unload trailers and place items in designated storage locations for future use.
  • Ensure all finished goods arrive at the final customer’s destination and that it meets and exceeds all expectations for load quality and load accuracy.
  • Ensure that the ASRS meets plant performance objectives.
  • Perform and document safety, quality, regulatory, maintenance, and sanitation activities.
  • Operate a forklift and handheld to load and unload finished goods on and off trailers in a manner that complies with all regulatory requirements, plant SOPs, and plant performance objectives.
  • Operate the ASRS to ensure inbound and outbound activities in and out of the ASR meet plant SOPs and plant performance objectives.
  • Operate a forklift and handheld scanner to supply and replenish various workstations with packaging and ingredients materials throughout the plant.
  • Perform inventory counts and update inventories.
  • Support Supply Technicians III in their essential functions as part of on-going training and development.
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, walls, floors, doors, ceilings, etc. as part of a Master Sanitation Program.
  • Perform daily tasks as part of Plant Safety Program, Plant Quality Program, CIL Program (clean, inspect, lube), Autonomous Maintenance Program, Equipment Center-Lining Program, Defect Identification, and Preventative Maintenance Programs.
  • Properly complete all documentation to meet all regulatory requirements and plant SOPs.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.
  • Support and enforce SQF / QA, GMP, Safety policies and procedures, and production needs.
  • Ensure yours, your team members’, and all visitors’ safety by actively supporting and following all safety programs as part of a “Zero Accident” commitment.
  • Ensure full compliance to all regulatory, customer and plant quality requirements as part of a “Perfect Quality” commitment.
  • Constantly look for defects and opportunities for improvement throughout all parts of the plant operation and personally lead necessary efforts to “Make it Better”.
  • Bring value to the Team and strengthen the Team through your job performance, treatment of your team members and effective communication.
  • Understand all performance criteria and operating results associated with your area of responsibility and constantly meet or exceed these requirements.
  • Maintain plant areas of responsibility to ensure an inspection and tour ready facility at all times.
  • Actively contribute during Daily Shift/Direction Setting Meetings.
  • Complete and document CILs (Clean, Inspect, Lube), master sanitation tasks, quality checks, PMs (preventative maintenance tasks) and perform required maintenance on your equipment.
  • Understand sources of waste and actively strive for “Zero Waste”.
