About the position

The Technician II, Maintenance position at CommScope in Claremont, NC involves performing highly diversified duties to install, address, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This role is crucial for supporting the achievement of business unit goals and objectives through safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. Responsibilities include maintaining, solving problems, and repairing PLCs, AC/DC Drives, and motor and drive controls, as well as participating in general maintenance duties of the equipment and facilities as advised by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Install, address, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
  • Perform maintenance according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems.
  • Maintain, solve problems, and repair PLCs, AC/DC Drives, and motor and drive controls.
  • Participate in general maintenance duties of the equipment and facilities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated manufacturing experience working with PLCs/HMIs/VFDs controlling process, AC/DC/VFD drives and automation equipment.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Military experience and training may be considered in lieu of industrial experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Legacy PLC Products, SLC and PLC5.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley AC/DC drive products including Powerflex and Kinetix products.
  • Electrical certification or State electrical license preferred.
  • Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Systems or related fields.
  • Associate's degree in Electronics and or Electrical Engineering Technologies.
  • HVAC/Refrigeration certification.
