About the position

The Laboratory Technician I at Eurofins Scientific is responsible for performing laboratory tests and calibrations under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager or Team Lead. This role requires adherence to quality systems and procedures, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory processes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The technician will also be expected to follow safety protocols and may need to work overtime or on weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Work and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Maintain consistent quality and efficiency in all assigned work processes.
  • Keep equipment and work environment clean and organized, ready for use.
  • Apply adequate laboratory techniques after training.
  • Understand and follow documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Work Instructions, Checklists, Batch Records, and Logs.
  • Maintain accurate production records according to requirements and in compliance with established Quality System standards.
  • Follow all company safety and regulatory policies, including handling hazardous materials and wearing proper PPE.
  • Be prepared to work overtime during shifts other than the one assigned or weekends if requested.
  • Complete applicable on-site training programs in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to perform under pressure of a fast-paced production environment.
  • Proven ability to work well with a team with little supervision.
  • Annual RCRA awareness training.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working in an ISO-9000 or cGMP environment.
  • Previous experience working with general laboratory equipment.
  • Microsoft Windows and Excel proficiency.
  • Previous experience working with Hazardous Chemicals.
  • Ability to lift 35+ pounds.
