About the position

The Field Technician will be responsible to operate a process (e.g.- plant, treatment facilities), and ensure safe and reliable operations. This a broadly skilled position and a qualified individual will perform all operational and troubleshooting tasks. This position supports the plant in the Sherhan/South Guymon area (approx. 20 miles north of Gruver TX). This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. Responsibilities

  • Performs Startup, Shutdown, and operation of various equipment/systems including gas compression, Cryogenic processing units, liquid handling systems, and treatment systems such as amine and glycol.
  • Conducts routine inspection and operation of dehydration systems.
  • Responsible for Startup, Shutdown, and operating gas compression equipment.
  • Performs maintenance and repair of engines, compressors, and associated components.
  • Operates storage and truck racks (such as condensate, wastewater, etc.).
  • Works with others to optimize processing throughout the facility and maintain proper product specifications.
  • Responds to alarms and problems within the plant and makes appropriate corrections.
  • Conducts routine inspection of equipment and facilities.
  • Performs a variety of Mechanical Maintenance and Repair duties.
  • Participates in and successfully completes training programs, risk management reviews, and safety meetings.
  • Reviews and follows procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Accurately completes documentation such as timesheets, SAP work orders, and regulatory reports.
  • Optimizes work in the most effective manner, in alignment with the Maintenance Work Process.
  • Works autonomously at varying times and in diverse weather conditions.
  • Maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices.
  • Performs and accurately documents regulatory required inspections.
  • May oversee contractors providing specialty services.
  • Reads and comprehends technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Writes technical reports and effectively presents information to managers and general plant personnel.
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
  • This position is on a 12-hour rotating seven on seven off work schedule pattern.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in job posting country.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Willing and able to frequently lift and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to push/pull forces up to 130 pounds.
  • Capable of climbing various stairs and ladders, including fixed and A-frame, up to 80 feet.
  • Regularly walk, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch for extended durations.
  • Able to work overtime, including scheduled or unscheduled, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to respond to callouts.
  • Able to work inside or outside in various weather conditions.
  • Safely work around various types of rotating or moving equipment.
  • Willing to wear personal protective equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Completion of Tech school training program.
  • 2 or more years of operational experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • 2 or more years of experience in operational plants, mechanical maintenance, instrumentation, and electrical.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in both independent and team settings.
