About the position

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation for a food manufacturing company. This role involves developing user guides, technical manuals, and training materials, ensuring clarity and accessibility for both technical and non-technical users. The position requires collaboration with staff to gather technical information and maintain documentation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality documentation such as user guides, technical manuals, product specifications, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Work closely with staff to gather and verify technical information and translate it into clear, concise documentation.
  • Document processes, system workflows, and software functionalities, ensuring that both technical and non-technical users can easily understand and follow.
  • Regularly review, update, and improve existing documentation to reflect product updates, process changes, and feedback from internal teams.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards for clarity, format, and structure, providing consistent style and tone across materials.
  • Organize and manage documentation repositories, ensuring that the latest versions of documents are easily accessible to the teams who need them.
  • Assist in the creation of training materials and documentation for onboarding new employees or users of company systems and products.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Technical Writer.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong focus on clarity, accuracy, and simplicity.
  • Experience with documentation tools (e.g. MS Office, Google Suite).
  • Ability to quickly learn complex technical concepts and communicate them in an accessible format.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in gathering information and ensuring technical accuracy.
