About the position

The Technical Training Center Sr. Instructor I is responsible for delivering technical training to Honda and Acura dealership service personnel. This role involves conducting training sessions both at the training center and in-dealer, ensuring compliance with Honda, state, and federal standards. The instructor will also maintain training equipment and facilities, analyze training needs, and provide recommendations to enhance training effectiveness, all while promoting Lifetime Owner Loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training to dealer service personnel through assigned training center and in-dealer training.
• Ensure Dealer Repair Certifications are met on a monthly basis and fiscal year to date.
• Ensure Dealer Diagnostic Certifications are met on a monthly basis and fiscal year to date.
• Ensure Individual Repair Certifications are met on a monthly basis and fiscal year to date.
• Ensure Individual Diagnostic Certifications are met on a monthly basis and fiscal year to date.
• Maintain all training center vehicles and ensure they are ready for technicians to diagnose.
• Ensure all necessary tools are available and ready for each training day.
• Maintain all vehicles and training center equipment to high standards.
• Provide advice and support in the development of automotive technical training modules.
• Accountable for the quality of training provided to Honda/Acura technicians.

Requirements

• BA/BS in automotive, industrial, education, or business.
• AA in automotive, industrial, business, or education.
• Experience as a secondary/post-secondary automotive instructor.
• Experience as an automotive service technician.
• Strong background in the technical automotive field with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Strong presentation skills.
