About the position

As a Technical Sales Representative at Anton Paar USA, you will be a key member of the Central Region sales team, focusing on driving business growth for surface characterization instruments. This role involves understanding customer needs, generating new accounts, managing existing relationships, and presenting technical solutions to a diverse audience. Your territory will cover the Midwestern states, and you will be expected to travel frequently for meetings and demonstrations.

Responsibilities

  • Generating and developing new accounts
  • Effectively managing existing accounts
  • Presenting to small and large audiences including C-suite executives, production managers, and technicians
  • Qualifying opportunities and developing proposals
  • Closing business
  • Traveling for meetings, demonstrations, and installations (up to 50-60%, including overnight)

Requirements

  • Experience in technical sales, preferably in analytical instruments
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in natural sciences or engineering
  • Valid driver's license and passport
