About the position

Hadrian builds software-defined high precision component factories for the top aerospace companies in the world. After a successful customer beta phase, we are substantially scaling our operations to our second factory (based in Torrance) and are in the final stretch of building our core software engineering and product team from whom the future of Hadrian will be built upon. This team will leverage various current and advanced technologies and build custom in house software solutions to help improve, automate and scale the future of manufacturing in the U.S. We are in search of individuals with the drive to augment manufacturing, helping enable our engineers build complex, yet elegant software as well as the machinists who have a passion to push the trade forward. We've raised >$200m to achieve this vision, with multiple rounds from Lux Capital, A16Z, Founders Fund, Construct Capital, Caffeinated Capital and more.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Account Executive, own the P&L for a customer and balance tradeoffs between Hadrian's internal capabilities, current and future business opportunities, and the customer relationship
  • Manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers to deliver a top-notch customer experience
  • Escalates customer needs internally and alerts factory operations / software engineering and other teams in supporting a smooth experience initially and in production; advocates for new internal capabilities that show strong long-term automation potential based on a customer's supply chain needs
  • Ultimately accountable to customer escalations, unblocking parts on the factory floor with help from customers, and the squad's data quality when processing orders
  • Develops and implements business processes, including providing feedback to our software engineering teams, that will scale squad operations and increase team productivity and accuracy
  • Implements a strategic plan for systematic improvements to the customer scorecard and leads quarterly business reviews with senior stakeholders

Requirements

  • 7+ years proven track record in commercial roles, preferably in defense and aerospace and / or engineering experience in defense and aerospace
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and other sales tools
  • Must be able to travel as required
