About the position

The Technical Product Manager at XCEL Engineering, Inc. is responsible for providing development and programming support for the Documentum application, ensuring high-quality code and effective data management. This role involves troubleshooting software issues, maintaining application data, and promoting continuous improvements in application processes. The position emphasizes collaboration, diversity, and adherence to core company values.

Responsibilities

• Provide development and programming support for the Documentum application using JavaScript/Java Rhino scripting platform.
• Pull and push data via REST API components.
• Troubleshoot JavaScript code and errors, ensuring business rules are enforced in the application.
• Improve system notifications, user-based error messages, and application logging via script.
• Maintain application data using Microsoft SQL Server, developing SQL routines and queries to resolve data quality issues.
• Enforce security profiles for all documents and records in the system via script.
• Identify and recommend continuous improvements to application processes and workflows.
• Troubleshoot software problems and provide resolutions, utilizing advanced debugging techniques.
• Ensure application documentation is up-to-date and follows Software Quality Assurance policies.
• Test scripting changes and ensure application releases are delivered without error.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems, or related technical/science degree.
• 5+ years of experience in advanced JavaScript and/or Java Rhino scripting.
• Ability to write REST API calls and manage data imports/exports.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases, including writing queries and improving table performance.
• Experience with formalized application development and debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with Angular and/or VueJS.
• Experience with web-based applications on Windows server platforms hosted via Apache.
