AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help. As a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager for Configuration Management you will help create BOMs, refine processes, and grow the capabilities of current systems, driving continuous improvement to meet our needs as a developer of a world class cloud computing service provider. You will be responsible for seamless, rapid and global implementation of components, BOMs, documents, and other product data supporting the business strategies and supply chain requirements. This position will also serve to promote best practices and internal business processes with relation to change management and general PLM functions. We are looking for an individual who is responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You must be motivated to work in a data driven environment, have a desire to drive process improvement, and long for the opportunity to analyze systematic issues and implement solutions to challenging problems.

Responsibilities

  • Create product BOMs and process change orders in a PLM system.
  • Design and execute PLM user permissions, taxonomy, workflows, and test new application features.
  • Act as an advocate of PLM best practices, methods, and processes.
  • Own a program, develop strategies, identify risk, success criteria, execute project plans, and provide communication to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand and analyze requirements and subsequently develop functional designs, configurations, and technical specification documentation.
  • Drive timely part setup, BOM releases, and BOM changes to support new product introduction (NPI) as well as sustain the business.
  • Participate in continuous process improvements focused on systems, reporting, and data analysis efficiencies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
  • Experience managing a program, metrics, and driving cross-team projects, process improvements, and creating product bill of materials in a PLM application.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure products and a product configurator.
  • Basic to Advanced level understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and tools.
  • Intermediate to advanced understandings of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks in parallel. Ability to identify process gaps and propose solutions.
