Technical Engineering/Process Development Co-op - Fall 2026

Bosch GroupPineville, NC
$21 - $22Onsite

About The Position

The Co-op experience at Rexroth-Charlotte will consist of three rotations through the Technical Engineering Functions Department. Each major technical work area is further described below: BPS (Bosch Production Systems) – exposure to a manufacturing environment; exposure to reviewing system performance for improvements; exposure to process standardization and performance improvement; reading and developing value stream maps and layout designs; exposure to standardized work documentation, 5S, SMED, TAKT analysis, Ergonomic assessments, and standard time data management. TEF1 (Technical Engineering Functions) – exposure to processes and detailed work instructions; investigating and troubleshooting manufacturing issues; participating in FMEA, Control plans development and capability studies; participating in FMEA risk reduction and process capability improvements; participating in tooling and machining evaluations; Support tooling design and shop layouts using Solidworks and AutoCAD software; exposure to machining and assembling parts. TEF2 (Process Development) – exposure to cross-functional project management for large capital expenditure projects; participating in process release planning and tasks; design, construction, and modification of manufacturing workstations and tooling; design using CAD programs; exposure to value stream design and materials planning. TEF3 (Tool & Die/TPM) – exposure to CNC machining, tooling selection, design, and setup. TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program creation, implementation, and sustainment. TEF6 (Core Industrial Engineering) – exposure to core Industrial Engineering functions including Work Efficiency tracking and reporting, Ergonomics evaluations and reporting, MTM time standards and the implementation and maintenance within an ERP system. TEF7 (Industry 4.0, digitalization) – exposure to I4.0 strategy development, deployment, and maintenance as well as Digital Manufacturing Standards.
