About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Telecom and Network Technician to join our team. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure, focusing on endpoint management, asset tracking, and telecommunications systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT asset management, network support, and a proven ability to administer key IT platforms like Kaseya, Oomnitza, and Intune. You will be responsible for ensuring system uptime, resolving technical issues, supporting end-users, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. This is a long-term contract position based in Washington DC with a hybrid work model.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years in IT asset management and network support.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT asset management principles, including compliance, lifecycle management, and industry best practices as defined by IAITAM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully driving IT initiatives and projects.
  • Proven experience as a Technical SME or similar role.
  • Experience with Kaseya administration.
  • Experience with Oomnitza integrations administration.
  • Experience with Intune backend administration.
  • Experience with Avaya phone systems.
  • Experience with Qmatic customer journey and queue management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications within the technical domain (e.g., IAITAM Certified Asset Management Professional, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the Kaseya IT management platform for endpoint monitoring, configuration, deployment, and issue resolution.
  • Manage Oomnitza integrations with other IT systems for streamlined asset tracking and reporting, generating reports on asset utilization, compliance, and lifecycle status.
  • Administer and configure Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, including device enrollment, policy management (MDM/MAM), app deployment, security settings, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical assistance to end-users for hardware and software issues across various devices, acting as a primary contact for IT inquiries and resolving support tickets.
  • Support device deployment, imaging, and configuration for new or existing users.
  • Assist with the maintenance and administration of IT systems, ensuring seamless integration between Kaseya, Oomnitza, Intune, and other tools.
  • Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues, and recommend improvements for reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize workflows and improve system efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic health checks and updates for IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for Kaseya, Oomnitza, and Intune configurations, policies, and workflows, including troubleshooting steps and system changes.
  • Generate regular reports on IT asset usage, endpoint compliance, and system performance.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Avaya phone systems (handsets, voicemail, and system servers).
  • Manage, test, and troubleshoot analog and digital fax lines.
  • Monitor voice and data lines, coordinating with telecom carriers and service providers to resolve outages.
  • Handle moves, adds, and changes (MACs) for all staff extensions and telecommunications hardware.
  • Support Qmatic customer journey and queue management systems, troubleshooting system endpoints like ticket printers, digital signage, and audio-visual displays.
  • Coordinate with IT and facility stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between Qmatic software and the organization's LAN/WAN infrastructure.
