Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with eye contact and smile in your authentic way.
• Acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive to the register to let them know you'll be right with them.
• Listen to customer needs; ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate products that meet the specific need of the customer.
• Ensure customers have an extraordinary experience while shopping.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation.
• Serve one or more items of food such as salads, meats, vegetables, pizza, grilled items, sandwiches, desserts, ice cream, and beverages at a counter or steam table.
• Prepare simple salads, coffee, and tea.
• Replenish food at serving stations.
• Prepare and wrap sandwiches.
• Wash, pare, and cut vegetables and fruits.
• Make and serve fountain items such as banana splits, sundaes, milk shakes, soda, etc.
• Prepare pizza to order by adding sauce, cheeses, meats, etc., to a purchased crust or select a frozen pizza and cook in an oven.
• Set up glasses, silverware, butter, condiments, salads, bread, and cold beverages, as required.
• Operate a microwave or conventional oven for the purpose of heating simple food items.
• Serve hot dogs, ice cream, pizza, popcorn, prewrapped sandwiches, beverages, snack items with related condiments.
• Maintain required documentation; check returned inventory; and prepare daily cash report.
• Participate in the establishment and achievement of service and sales goals for the food facility.
• Resolve customer complaints at the lowest level and inform management of barriers to meeting the optimal customer experience.
• Collect money, ring sales on cash register, and make change.
• Maintain required level of sanitation and cleanliness of work area.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 45 pounds (occasional lifting over 50 pounds).

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed.

• Fast food experience preferred.
