About the position

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Jack in the Box Inc. This means the independent franchisee, and not Jack in the Box Inc. will be your employer if you are hired. The independent franchisee is responsible for all employment related matters in the restaurant including, among other things, setting any requirements for this job and all decisions concerning hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing and scheduling. The position is for a Team Leader who will be responsible for training and leading team members in consistently delivering an exceptional guest experience, ensuring great tasting/quality food, executing on guest expectations, and ensuring compliance with all procedures, systems, and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Train and coach team members using the Guest Expectations training materials.
  • Model being calm and productive during busy times.
  • Hold team members accountable to the uniform and grooming standards.
  • Model and coach team members on the JIB Hospitality Model.
  • Monitor quality to ensure food looks and tastes great.
  • Lead and coach team on how to provide consistent, fast service.
  • Ensure food safety by following all food safety and quality policies.
  • Supervise and train team members on workstation operations.
  • Ensure guests receive an exceptional experience by performing quality employee training.
  • Create a friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment.
  • Conduct on-boarding and training.

Requirements

  • 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes, or 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must complete Team Leader training classes.
  • In certain states, must be ServSafe certified.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform and understand basic math concepts.
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
  • Proven analytical skills and good organization and planning skills.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers and related software applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to speak another language to guests based on location of restaurant.
  • Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.
