About the position

The Team Leader, Operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific is responsible for overseeing personnel performance, ensuring quality systems and processes are continuously improved, and maintaining safety standards within the manufacturing environment. This role emphasizes effective people management, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and compliance with safety regulations while fostering a healthy team ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and evaluate personnel performance and performance data and initiate corrective actions.
  • Lead and influence the continuous improvement of quality systems and processes.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels according to production schedule.
  • Manage people effectively to ensure timely responses and resolutions of personnel issues.
  • Drive safety standards in collaboration with the Health and Safety team and ensure safety is a priority.
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are met and maintained within the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure all product is of the highest quality following cGMP and SOPs.
  • Conduct and participate in daily tier meetings with staff and leadership.
  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance.
  • Perform investigations of equipment, errors, people, quality and safety.

Requirements

  • 2 years of validated supervisory and people management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High-school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with quality systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with working to tight SOPs.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing and production.
