About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the KINE 2P92 course, Foundations in Adapted Physical Education and Disability Studies, for the Summer D1 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation will be based on the employee's qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (rates effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking, grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.

Requirements

  • Must have obtained a degree in Kinesiology or equivalent
  • Must be enrolled in a Kinesiology graduate program
  • Must have experience with or knowledge of the course material

  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the discipline is preferred
