About the position

Rebecca School is seeking Head Teachers for classrooms serving students aged 3-21 with autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. The role involves developing individualized, interest-based curricula and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support students' social, emotional, and academic growth. The position is available for Summer and/or September 2024, with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized, developmental, interest-based programs for each student.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
• Differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of a variety of learning profiles.
• Implement the DIRFloortime® method in teaching practices.

Requirements

• Have a master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Hold NY state certification or be close to completing a master's program.
• Be open to learning more about DIRFloortime®.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders.
