About The Position
COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 94 WEST CHICAGO, IL 60185 is seeking a Teacher for Industrial Arts/Technology Education for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an anticipated vacancy. The teacher will be responsible for teaching a variety of Technology and Engineering Courses, including construction, drafting, and Geometry in Construction. A willingness to collaborate with a math teacher for Geometry in Construction courses is also required.
Requirements
- ISBE Professional Educator Secondary Teaching License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement required
- Alternate certification considered for tradesperson with an Associate's Degree and 2,000 hours of documented work experience (in architecture, construction, or relevant area)
- Alternate certification considered for a tradesperson with a high school diploma and 8,000 hours of documented work experience (in architecture, carpentry, or relevant area)
- Passionate about the trades and able to engage students in meaningful hands-on learning experiences
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
- Potential for dual credit approval preferred but not required
Responsibilities
