About the position

The Teacher position aims to create and maintain a dynamic classroom environment that fosters high expectations and enthusiasm for learning. Responsibilities

  • Use assessment strategies aligned with the curriculum and standards to support continuous learner development.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Engage in continuous professional quality improvement for self and school.
  • Promote critical, creative, and evaluative thinking capabilities in students.
  • Utilize instructional strategies that reflect students' diverse cultures, learning styles, and needs.
  • Adhere to the code of ethics and professional conduct in education and enforce regulations.
  • Create a positive learning environment that supports intellectual, personal, and social development.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the subject matter being taught.
  • Establish a classroom management system that encourages engagement and self-motivation.
  • Plan, align, implement, and evaluate effective instruction and assessment in various learning environments.
  • Collaborate with peers, parents, and the community to improve educational experiences for students.
  • Integrate appropriate technology into teaching and learning processes.
  • Complete required training and obtain endorsements for teaching Limited English Proficient (LEP) students.
  • Maintain school records and prepare required reports.
  • Account for school property as prescribed by regulations.
  • Promote compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies.

Requirements

  • Appropriate State of Florida certification.
  • Computer skills as required for the position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills preferred.
