About the position
The Tax Services Manager position at EY focuses on U.S. tax information reporting and withholding matters within the Financial Services Office. This role involves working collaboratively in a team environment to address complex tax challenges across various financial sectors, including banking, insurance, and multinational corporations. The manager will guide clients in understanding tax regulations and implementing necessary operational changes, while also developing their own expertise through mentorship and training opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Interface daily with superiors, peers, subordinates, and clients on CTOR projects.
- Interpret IRS Code and Regulations and draft guidance for clients.
- Conduct data analysis and develop requirements to help clients implement tax rules.
- Perform gap analysis of clients' policies, procedures, and systems.
- Prepare documentation including presentations and flowcharts for client engagements.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of U.S. tax information reporting and withholding matters.
- Ability to interpret IRS Code and Regulations.
- Experience in data analysis and requirements development.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients and team members.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in financial services, banking, or insurance sectors.
- Familiarity with FATCA and Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
- Previous experience in tax advisory or consulting roles.
