About the position

The Tax SAP Global Trade Services Senior Manager at Deloitte is responsible for leading complex projects within the Global Trade Advisory Practice, focusing on helping clients optimize their SAP investments and navigate the evolving digital economy. This role involves advising multinational companies on global trade strategies, compliance, and the implementation of SAP Global Trade Services solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver complex projects in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Lead and assist Customer and Sales Operations pursuits and practice development initiatives
  • Promote and participate in forums for sharing expertise and resolving client challenges
  • Collaborate on innovative solutions to enhance the practice's future
  • Develop knowledge and gain project experience in SAP's latest solutions such as SAP S/4 & SAP GTS, Edition for HANA
  • Assess and deploy technology solutions for international trade management operations
  • Help importers and exporters achieve compliance and efficiencies in their global supply chain
  • Advise on global import and export strategies and compliance
  • Assist with planning and compliance, exploring automated import and export solutions
  • Plan for supply chain efficiency including trade and security, customs valuation, and transfer pricing compliance
  • Assist with process improvement planning and systems implementation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years relevant SAP consulting or industry experience
  • Experience implementing SAP GTS Modules: Compliance Management, Customs Management, Trade Preference
  • Technical or functional lead on at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP implementations
  • Hands-on functional configuration and design experience
  • Experience with SAP ECC or S/4 modules: SD, MM, LE
  • Participation in all phases of at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP implementations
  • Bachelor's degree in a legal, business or technology related field
  • Ability to travel up to 50% based on work and client needs
  • Active accreditation such as CPA, licensed attorney, or other relevant certifications.

  • Software aptitude in PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Excel, and/or Visio
  • Experience presenting to clients or decision makers
  • Knowledge of export regulations including ITAR/EAR
  • Demonstrated interest in international trade or business

  • Ability to design innovative solutions aligned with leading practices
  • Understanding of end-to-end processes and attention to detail
