About the position

Intuit is seeking Tax Associates to assist clients during the tax season. This fully remote position requires a minimum of 2 years of paid experience in tax preparation, specifically in filing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns. The role emphasizes customer service and effective communication, as Tax Associates will interact with clients through video and audio tools to provide tax advice and support.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• Provide tax advice and full-service return preparation.
• Perform tax calculations and manage product/software inquiries.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.
• Document customer interactions to maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.
