About the position

The Tax Preparer - Enrolled Agent position at Paramount Tax & Accounting involves preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and corporations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assist clients with tax-related inquiries. Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex 1040 tax returns for individuals, including all schedules.
• Prepare and/or assist in preparing Corporate Tax returns (1120, 1120S, & 1065).
• Double-check and review returns prepared by other preparers for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify all sources of income and expenditures to determine forms needed for proper tax return preparation.
• Utilize established procedures to find and apply all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits.
• Complete continuing education annually to stay updated on new laws.
• Assist clients with tax questions over the phone or in person.
• Demonstrate proficient computer skills.
• Good understanding of accounting.
• Preparation and review of sales tax returns.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information.
• Organize client's financial records.
• Attend to deadlines.
• Perform other job-related duties as necessary.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• 3 years of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in accounting and data entry.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail.
• Customer service oriented.
• Ability to work additional hours as needed.
