About the position

Fuller & Company is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer with a current CPA or EA designation in Atlanta. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced EA or CPA to be part of a growing team, focusing on preparing individual, entity, and fiduciary tax returns while maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, corporate, nonprofit and trust tax returns for clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and personalized service.
  • Collaborate with other members of the tax department to address client needs and deliver exceptional service.
  • Stay current on emerging tax issues, legislation, and industry trends to effectively advise clients and mitigate risk.
  • Assist with tax notices and inquiries as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and planning.
  • Strong technical knowledge of individual, partnership, corporate, nonprofit and trust tax returns, tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH, ProSystem fx) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with tax planning strategies and techniques to optimize client outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and industry trends to provide innovative solutions to client challenges.
