About the position

The Tax Operations Specialist at Nepsis Inc. plays a crucial role in managing the Thompson Reuters Practice CS system and supporting the tax team in various operational tasks. This position focuses on enhancing tax operations processes, ensuring effective management of client data, and preparing reports to aid in performance evaluation and staffing decisions. The ideal candidate will be proactive in continuous improvement and will work closely with both the operations and tax teams to meet client expectations and project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and update Thompson Reuters Practice CS to manage information for the tax practice.
• Work with the VP of Operations to develop and update tax operations processes and procedures.
• Train tax staff on the use of systems and any enhancements or updates.
• Enter and maintain client data across all tax practice systems.
• Set up new projects in the information system.
• Monitor and manage deliverables and due date requirements with tax professionals.
• Develop and run reports to understand practice performance and support staffing decisions.
• Process tax returns using tools such as UltraTax, SurePrep, TaxCaddy, and SafeSend.
• Create client invoices and manage accounts receivable processes.
• Communicate with clients as needed and support various internal projects.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in an operations role.
• Experience using and administering Thompson Reuters Practice CS.
• Experience using tax software such as UltraTax, SurePrep, TaxCaddy, and SafeSend.
