About the position
The Tax Manager position at Kforce Inc is a hybrid role within a regional Public Accounting firm located in Wayne, New Jersey. The primary focus of this role is to oversee the preparation and review of various tax returns, including those for corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals. The Tax Manager will also engage in tax research, identify planning opportunities, handle tax controversies, and provide training and supervision to staff, all while promoting a good work-life balance and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Preparation/review of complex C corp., S corp., and partnership tax returns
- Preparation/review of high-net-worth individual returns
- Review of complex individual returns
- Research and draft memoranda involving tax matters
- Identify tax planning opportunities
- Handle and resolve tax controversies
- Training and supervision of staff
Requirements
- Accounting degree or similar
- CPA
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience for mainly corporations & partnerships
- Prior experience in managing and leading teams, demonstrating effective leadership abilities
- Proficient project management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
- Outstanding collaboration, communication, organization, and analytical skills
