The Tax & Fund Accounting Manager position at a leading private equity firm in San Jose, California, involves managing complex fund accounting tasks, including reconciliations, distributions, and quarterly close processes. Responsibilities

• Manage complex fund bookings, reconciliations, and distributions.
• Lead the quarterly close processes for multiple fund entities.
• Execute calculations for distributions and capital calls, including drafting notice letters.
• Apply LPA terms expertly in carry waterfalls and expense allocations.
• Support annual audits and address technical accounting challenges.
• Oversee cash management and financial projections.
• Collaborate with third-party administrators to enhance processes.
• Respond to inquiries from deal and compliance teams.
• Address information requests from limited partners.
• Prepare customized quarterly and annual LP schedules.

Requirements

• CPA designation is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with VC/PE clients or in-house.
• Proven expertise in financial tasks such as bookings, reconciliations, closings, distributions, and audits.
• Key traits include intelligence, a strong work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of partnership accounting under US GAAP.
• A collaborative team player who promotes growth.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Investran is a plus.
