About the position

Baker Tilly is seeking a Tax Experienced Associate to join their team, providing tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients. Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals, and corporations.
• Participate in tax research projects on various tax issues and assist in drafting IRS responses.
• Collaborate with leaders on special projects related to corporate and flow-through taxation, including accounting methods and ASC740.
• Develop recommendations for clients and strategize with leadership.
• Communicate with specialty tax practices on complex tax matters in various areas such as state and local taxation, high net worth, and international tax.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, or a related business degree with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam.
• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
• Relevant internship work experience is highly desired.
• Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, and adaptability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
