About the position

The Systems Specialist at TransCore will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and configuring Congestion Pricing and Tolling software systems and lane equipment. This role requires intermediate technical knowledge to support system setup, maintenance, and audit initiatives, while also providing technical support and resolving moderately complex issues. The specialist may assist in training other staff and will play a key role in monitoring and maintaining the tolling systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, and configure TransCore Congestion Pricing and Tolling software systems and lane equipment.
• Provide exceptional phone and email support to customers experiencing software or hardware-related issues.
• Conduct individual and group training on tolling software and hardware for faculty, staff, and interns.
• Lead junior staff and interns in performing similar work tasks.
• Perform technical assistance and maintenance duties, including configuring and updating the TransCore Tolling system.
• Document projects and create user instructions and troubleshooting tips in a knowledge base.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software, and network failures.
• Review, evaluate, and recommend hardware, software, and network solutions.
• Participate in research and development initiatives and assist in implementing new technologies.
• Serve as a primary project member on technology projects with moderate scope and impact.

Requirements

• Associate degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in software testing and test automation.
• Knowledge of various computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and computer literacy, particularly in Windows environments.
• Good writing, communication, and customer service skills.

• Experience in the Tolling field.
