About the position
The Systems Engineering-Design Co-op position at Collins Aerospace is a full-time internship opportunity for students pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant discipline. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in systems engineering, specifically within the Design Engineering Test group. Interns will assist in various projects related to qualification testing and gain exposure to fire protection product lines used in aviation and ground vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Assist in running qualification testing
- Create qualification test plan, test procedure, and test result documentation
- Perform development testing
- Troubleshoot test issues that occur in both development and qualification testing
- Assist with periodic testing of production parts as needed
- Provide any additional support to the design engineering test group as needed.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
- U.S. citizenship is required.

- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Great teamwork and communication skills
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Educational experience in either mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering
