About the position

The position involves providing local and remote support for servers and virtual machines, managing applications both on-premises and in the cloud, and ensuring timely resolution of support tickets. The role requires strong technical skills in Active Directory, Azure, and various cloud environments, along with the ability to document processes and support migrations of various applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Local and remote support of Servers and VMs.
  • Support applications both on-prem and cloud-based, including email, VPN, collaboration software, and encryption software.
  • Take ownership of assigned tickets and track to resolution while meeting SLAs.
  • Create support tickets with vendors/service providers to resolve issues reported by employees.
  • Administer Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, working with GPOs, OUs, and Groups.
  • Assist with network issues (HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP stack with known ports and basic commands).
  • Support Azure, AWS, VMware, and Hyper-V environments.
  • Document ticket resolution and write procedures for the helpdesk knowledge base.
  • Involvement in M&A project work.
  • Experience in Office 365, Gsuite, and other common workplace management systems.
  • Support Mail, OneDrive, Sharepoint, and Teams migrations.
  • Consolidate vendors and applications with corporate counterparts.
  • Migrate physical and virtual infrastructure to the Azure and AWS cloud.
  • Support Intune migrations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (System Engineering).
  • Hands-on experience with laptop and server hardware troubleshooting, VOIP and phone technologies, anti-virus systems, and imaging/patching software.
  • Ability to multi-task tickets and projects while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to learn and understand environments and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Fast learner, positive, creative, and flexible.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Team player willing to make every effort to ensure team success.
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to take direction and see assignments through to completion.
  • Willingness to be flexible in work schedule dependent on business needs.
