About the position

LM Aero SE MBSE Assist Team accelerates the modernization of systems engineering processes, practices, and tools to support wide-spread adoption of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and cross-functional integration. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to leverage your Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) experiences on teams engaged in the design of complex military systems. You will use MBSE tools to capture stakeholder and system requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of system usage, and enhance a culture of model-based designs. You will engage other Systems Engineers in a broader understanding of modeling and assist them in developing Systems Engineering work products. Members of this team will be resources to programs to enable efficient and effective implementation of MBSE.

Responsibilities

• Deploying to programs on short-term assignments to initiate & guide model-based systems engineering implementation.
• Tracking product development efforts within Lines of Business to ensure program needs are incorporated into the Systems Engineering Modernization roadmap.
• Developing reference architectures for key product lines for use as a basis of program architectures.
• Exploring and implementing advanced modeling features to integrate data across functional lines.
• Supporting and leading cross business area Model Based Systems Engineering activities.
• Providing training, lunch and learns, and one-on-one coaching regarding MBSE implementation.
• Support and own emerging projects to help drive modernization forward.

Requirements

• Systems Architecture experience
• Strong Systems Engineering background
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Engineering or STEM

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the proven ability to communicate to all levels internally and externally
• INCOSE Certified Professional (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)
• Proficiency in SysML, Cameo and other MBSE related tools and skills
• Experience with the Siemens Xcelerator and/or the Dassault 3DX PLM ecosystems
• Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex, large-scale technical issues/challenges
• Proven experience in developing strategies and translating them into action and results
• Wide variety of customer experience and exposure across Lines of Business
