About the position
The Systems Analyst/Software Tester will be responsible for conducting comprehensive software reviews, analysis, and testing to ensure that system requirements are correctly defined and implemented. This role involves working on weapon systems at NSWECDD in Dahlgren, VA, focusing on system effectiveness and security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive software review, analysis, and testing.
- Test weapon systems including system and software analysis.
- Identify vulnerabilities and attempt to 'break' the software to confirm effectiveness and usability.
- Inspect testing software, systems, or processes to ensure compliance with requirements standards and user expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree required.
- Five plus (5+) years of systems testing experience within a weapon systems environment.
- IV&V experience is required.
- Experience with Ada, fire control systems, and weapons systems is preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Ada programming language.
- Familiarity with fire control systems.
- Knowledge of weapons systems.
