About the position

The Systems Analyst at Arch Staffing & Consulting is responsible for implementing, maintaining, integrating, and troubleshooting both in-house and third-party applications. This role involves working independently to solve business problems and participating in work teams to enhance application systems. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure the effective operation of software applications and to recommend technology solutions that align with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, integrate, and troubleshoot applications (in-house and third-party).
  • Recommend technology solutions considering budget, business needs, internal capabilities, and strategic direction.
  • Serve as a technical expert on projects needing new applications or modifications to existing applications.
  • Design or review new and existing application systems and perform complex systems analysis.
  • Integrate multiple systems utilizing different communication protocols and gateways.
  • Write interface programs and define application program interfaces (API) to the database.
  • Follow documented standards for coding, documentation, and change control.
  • Write, debug, document, and implement solutions to complex problems using appropriate application systems access and database tools.
  • Work with vendors and staff to document and specify software functional requirements.
  • Establish policies and procedures for loading application systems and ensure continued maintenance and operation of existing applications.
  • Maintain security and integrity controls of the application system and manage user access to applications and data.
  • Review contracts to ensure product licenses and service agreements are correct and appropriate.
  • Monitor systems performance and recommend methods for improving efficiency through system and application design.
  • Attend product demonstrations, seminars, user group meetings, and other professional opportunities to maintain expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in development, design, implementation, and application support.
  • 2+ years of experience in .NET Framework required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of current technology and trends in business intelligence, document imaging, SharePoint, collaboration tools, mobile applications, etc.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Platform/Solutions.
