System Facilities Director - Facilities and Construction

About the position

To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experiences, and Stewardship by The Director provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the services provided by the Facilities Management Departments. Responsible for plant operations, major mechanical, buildings and grounds, for the regional hospitals, properties and clinics. Actively takes part of the selection, appraisal, and recommendation of subcontractors and vendors to supplement on site staff and needs. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, AHCA, OSHA, NFPA and all other applicable regulatory organizations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all facilities meet all applicable regulations
• Ensures the management of department controllable expenses such as labor and supply expenses
• Manages all plant and facility operations
• Accountable for the long-range planning and operations for all designated facilities including, preventive, predictive and normal maintenance
• Develops continuous improvements in Health First facilities maintenance and construction project plan programs to drive quality and performance improvements enterprise wide.
• Acquires an understanding of codes and issues for each construction project.
• Works with facilities team to collaborate effectively with clinical and operations leaders to assure our facilities optimize our customers' and patients' experience at Health First.
• Partners with operations leaders to assure our facilities support efficient workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Business, Architecture, or relevant field.
• Five (5) years of experience in facilities.
• Five (5) years of experience in management.
• Customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills and ability to lead project teams.
• Strong financial management/budgeting skills.
