About the position
The College of New Jersey is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join the Enterprise Infrastructure Technology Team. This role involves managing and supporting the enterprise hybrid IT environment, providing critical infrastructure services to the campus community. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience with various systems and technologies, including Microsoft Active Directory, VMware, and cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support enterprise hybrid architecture across hardware, software, networking, and cloud platforms
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory and enterprise systems
- Maintain and optimize virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Support cloud services including AWS, Google Cloud, and Zoom
- Manage server and storage hardware systems
- Oversee print systems and network communications
- Provide technical consultation and support to campus departments
Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in an area related to information technology
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in VMware virtualization
- Familiarity with cloud service platforms (AWS, Google, Zoom)
- Experience with networking equipment (Extreme Networks preferred)
- Strong understanding of enterprise hybrid infrastructure
- Ability to establish efficient and reliable IT environments
