About the position

The System Administrator (SA) at Intrepid will play a crucial role in supporting PEO Aviation by operating, sustaining, and maintaining multiple government standalone classified network systems. This position involves daily system maintenance, compliance monitoring, and troubleshooting, ensuring that all operations align with government regulations and security protocols. The SA will also be responsible for documentation and preparation for Authorization to Operate (ATO) renewals, contributing to the overall cybersecurity posture of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, sustain, and maintain multiple government standalone classified network systems.
  • Perform system maintenance and Active Directory maintenance.
  • Conduct audit log reviews and data transfer operations.
  • Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes for assigned systems.
  • Perform security compliance continuous monitoring and complete audits of system logs.
  • Maintain all Linux (RHEL) OS instances, including patching as required.
  • Monitor system health and ensure compliance with system documentation and regulatory guidance.
  • Monitor ACAS for system vulnerabilities and analyze reports of system vulnerabilities.
  • Report security incidents or vulnerabilities to the system-level ISSM.
  • Support the development of enterprise-wide information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

  • An active SECRET security clearance and eligibility for a TOP SECRET clearance.
  • An associate's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in system administration.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Effective communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work as a team player.
  • Proficiency in Linux Operating System administration (RHEL preferred).
  • Familiarity with ATO processes and network system administration experience.
  • Understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework for Information Systems.
  • Effective writing skills.
  • Certifications: IAT Level I required, IAT Level II or IAM Level I preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field.
  • Windows Operating System administration experience (Server and Workstation).
  • ePO Server experience (Trelix/HBSS).
  • Splunk Experience; PDQ Experience.
  • Nakivo Backup software experience.
  • Exchange Server experience.
  • Experience with ACAS/STIGs.
  • Experience with Active Client and PKI administration.
  • eMASS experience.
  • Certificate authority management.
  • Special Access Program Experience.
