About the position
The Swimming Pool Technician at Icon Pools is responsible for providing on-site pool cleaning and maintenance services. This role involves assisting with pool openings and closings, ensuring proper chemical balance, and performing equipment repairs. The technician will work independently, driving to various customer locations and interacting with clients in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Driving the company vehicle to customer's location.
- Maintaining equipment.
- Testing swimming pool water chemical levels.
- Adding acid, chlorine, and other chemicals to correct water chemistry.
- Cleaning swimming pool using authorized equipment.
- Repairing or replacing faulty pool equipment.
- Performing pump and filter replacements.
- Conducting minor plumbing repairs.
- Changing sand in filters.
- Repairing or replacing pool heaters.
- Completing paperwork and reporting service requirements to management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a pool technician.
- Knowledge of proper pool cleaning and maintenance methods.
- Knowledge of swimming pool chemicals and their properties.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (at least 40 pounds).
- Professional appearance.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
