Swim Instructor (Seasonal/Summer) - Camp Thunderbird YMCA
About The Position
The Camp Thunderbird YMCA is seeking part-time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool. We are looking for candidates with open availability. This is a part-time, seasonal position (summer) which starts at $14.00 per hour. We are looking for candidates who can work over the summer months up to 40 hours per week. Applicants should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for candidates who can work regular weekly hours with all ages. Using different tools and teaching techniques, swim instructors will work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
Requirements
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
- Open availability.
- Ability to work regular weekly hours with all ages.
- Enthusiastic and energetic with strong interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications.
Responsibilities
