About the position

Take Me to the Water Swim School is seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as Swim Instructors/Directors. Our school has been providing expert swimming instruction since 1984, focusing on creating a nurturing environment where students can thrive. We pride ourselves on our small class sizes, warm pools, and an engaging, imaginative curriculum that helps students quickly become comfortable in the water. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about aquatics and enjoy working with children. No prior teaching experience is required, as we are willing to train the right individuals who demonstrate the basic fundamental strokes, including Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke. This position offers a flexible workload, allowing you to work anywhere from one day to seven days a week, depending on available shifts. Candidates must be punctual, have reliable transportation, and be available to work during the hours of 3 PM to 7 PM on weekdays or on weekends. This role is perfect for college students, professionals, actors, or anyone seeking a flexible schedule while earning an excellent part-time salary of $20 per hour, which can increase to $22 per hour once qualified to teach.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming strokes to students of various ages and skill levels.
• Demonstrate swim strokes and techniques effectively.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during lessons.
• Maintain punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
• Communicate effectively with students and their parents regarding progress and concerns.

Requirements

• Must come from an aquatics background and be able to demonstrate swim strokes.
• Willingness to train with experienced instructors.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• A love for working with children is a must.
• Availability to work from 3 PM to 7 PM on weekdays or weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in teaching or coaching swimming (not required but preferred).
