About the position
The Commercial Lending Group Manager will oversee a team of 6-7 commercial lenders across three specialty areas: commercial real estate lending, small business lending, and commercial and industrial lending. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of financial products that support impactful projects in under-resourced neighborhoods. The manager will collaborate with internal teams, assess credit risks, maintain compliance, and engage with the community to build relationships and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 6-7 commercial lenders across three specialty areas.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Assess credit risks associated with lending activities.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Build relationships and deepen partnerships within the community.
- Review and structure commercial credits effectively.
Requirements
- Strong commercial credit skills and experience in reviewing and structuring commercial credits.
- Extensive experience in commercial real estate lending.
- Some experience in small business lending and commercial and industrial lending.
- Familiarity with community development programs, such as affordable housing and tax credit programs.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with nonprofit lending organizations.
- Knowledge of financial services specific to community development financial institutions (CDFIs).
