About the position

The Surveillance Operator is responsible for maintaining continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and the entire property at Four Winds Casino and Resort. The primary purpose of this role is to protect life and property by identifying potential security risks, documenting suspicious activities, and ensuring compliance with gaming regulations. The operator plays a crucial role in safeguarding casino assets and gaming integrity through thorough monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all areas of the property continuously to identify potential security and safety risks.
  • Utilize surveillance equipment to identify, record, document, and report illegal or suspicious activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of Gaming Commission rules and regulations, ensuring adherence throughout the property.
  • Protect casino assets and gaming integrity by monitoring activities, especially on the gaming floor.
  • Complete daily reports on surveillance activities and incidents.
  • Support employees and management in protecting assets within their departments.
  • Coordinate with the Security Department for further investigation of identified issues.
  • Facilitate information flow by attending departmental meetings and reporting findings.
  • Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Make recommendations for changes in policies and procedures to enhance asset protection.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with closed circuit television equipment preferred.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills.
  • Ability to detect schemes or cheating activities aimed at the casino or its guests.
  • Possession of a Level 2 Gaming License is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy manuals and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to write effective reports and memos.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in various group settings.
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations and interpret data.
