About the position

The Surveillance Operator at Four Winds Casino and Resort is responsible for maintaining continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and the entire property to ensure the safety and security of guests and assets. This entry-level position involves monitoring activities, identifying potential risks, and reporting suspicious behavior while adhering to gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting them.
• Utilizes necessary equipment to identify, record, document, and report illegal, suspicious, or unusual activities occurring on property.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission and ensures strict adherence throughout the property.
• Protects casino assets and gaming integrity through thorough monitoring of activities, particularly on the gaming floor.
• Completes a daily report of surveillance activities.
• Supports employees, supervisors, and management regarding asset protection in their respective departments.
• Coordinates with the Security Department when surveillance discovers matters needing further investigation or attention.
• Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
• Accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Makes suggestions regarding possible changes in policies and procedures to protect casino assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with closed circuit television equipment preferred.
• Excellent observational and communication skills.
• Ability to detect schemes or cheating activity aimed at the casino or its guests.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy manuals and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write effective reports and memos.
• Ability to communicate effectively in various group situations.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and interpret data from graphs.
