Surgical Tech Coordinator
About The Position
Provide safe and effective patient care through the performance of specific duties as the Surgical Technician Coordinator in the OR during surgical and other invasive procedures under the direction of a registered nurse. Perform routine scrub duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery. Assist in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keep current on operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies, and equipment; assist with the ongoing Performance Improvement Program. Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends, and holidays. Assist with annual performance evaluations and competencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved operating room technician program.
- Minimum 2 years experience as an OR Surgical Technologist.
- 1 year experience in general.
- Experience in assisting in ordering general supplies for procedures.
- Experience in oversight of maintenance and care of surgical instruments & equipment.
- AHA BLS certification.

- Surgical Technologist Certification.
