About the position

The position involves assisting Project & Business Managers and Project Management Analysts in their duties, providing mentoring and coaching, conducting performance reviews, and leading innovation on process and tools improvements. The role includes supervising, mentoring, and managing the workload and assignments among a specific group. The individual will develop, monitor, and present project and program performance reports, providing broad analytical and operational support to Project Controls and Management (P&CM). Responsibilities also include preparing comprehensive reports to support business operations, coordinating the reporting of financial and schedule risks, and representing Project Controls regarding estimating, scheduling, or cost processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, performance measures, and training for Project Management Analysts.
  • Recruit and hire Project Management Analysts, ensuring proper onboarding.
  • Build reports including Estimates, Schedules, and Financial reports, analyzing associated risks and opportunities.
  • Analyze and provide guidance to ensure alignment of work plans with budget and performance goals.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and long-range plans.
  • Support Project Managers with presentations and analysis.
  • Provide support to the Manager of Project Controls for portfolio analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical Field.
  • 4-7 years of related experience, or 6-9 years of relevant business experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes, and practices in the functional area.
  • Ability to provide in-depth analysis and apply forecasting, analytical, and statistical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills for project financial evaluation and risk identification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Financial, Business, or Project Management advanced degree.
  • 4-10 years of project experience in estimating, scheduling, or cost tracking in the electric/gas industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized business technologies.
  • Proficient in business case development and presentation.
