About the position

The Supervisor of Financial Services for the Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Program at Novant Health is responsible for overseeing the financial workflows associated with transplant and cellular therapy. This role ensures continuity in financial operations, coordinates with various departments, and acts as an expert in guiding financial decisions related to the program. The supervisor will track and analyze reimbursement changes, evaluate team performance, and implement processes to enhance financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuity of financial workflows for the Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Program.
  • Coordinate with departments including revenue cycle, billing, coding, and revenue integrity.
  • Guide program financial decisions and onboarding of new services and products.
  • Track and analyze federal and state reimbursement changes affecting operations and revenue collection.
  • Evaluate the quality of work of team members and provide timely feedback.
  • Manage performance of contracted vendor partners and oversee workload backlog.
  • Establish and track accounts receivable reduction and cash collections goals.
  • Facilitate timely accounts payable processes and bookkeeping as applicable.
  • Design, analyze, and implement processes surrounding billing and compliance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement recommendations to maximize financial gain and streamline operations.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in Revenue Cycle, Customer Service, call center, or related experience required.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Coding certification (CPC, RHIA, etc.) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Billing Guidelines.
  • Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing.
  • Strong human relations and interpersonal skills for effective communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Operational understanding of the EPIC system.
  • Basic coding knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
