About the position
The After School Support Staff member works closely with youth. They will deliver support to the Site Coordinator and other team members to provide nutrition, enrichment, and academic and emotional support to elementary school youth at Traverse City Montessori School.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and help deliver high-quality lessons that provide academic and social enrichment to students.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe learning environment for students daily.
- Participate in the training and development offered through SEEDS to comply with DHS/LARA after schoolwork place requirements and grow as a childcare provider.
- Invest in the students and in the program so both can be more successful.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 17 years of age.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks and test negative for TB.
- Ability to work well with youth.
- Self-motivated/independent worker.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
