About the position

The Supply Chain Specialist at Solaris Pharma is responsible for supporting launch planning and commercial sourcing activities, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained, and managing the procurement process for various supplies. This role involves communication with manufacturing sites and vendors, inventory management, and assisting in the release and shipment of finished products. The specialist will also work on cost reduction initiatives and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Responsibilities

• Support launch planning and commercial sourcing activities including API, Excipients, lab supplies, and components.
• Communicate product forecasts consistently with manufacturing sites and vendors to ensure sufficient inventory.
• Manage supplies of long lead items to prevent delays in product shipment.
• Alert management on potential supply chain issues and execute tasks to resolve them.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all supplies and associated lead times for delivery.
• Assist in the release and shipment of finished products to the 3PL warehouse facility.
• Identify opportunities to reduce prices in the supply chain to lower overall costs.
• Review purchase requisitions for completeness and compliance with policies.
• Assist with analyzing proposals/quotations for goods and services.
• Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and communicate them to vendors.
• Manage shipment, pick-up, and delivery of items, providing necessary documentation.
• Work with requisitioners to ensure change orders and updates to POs are accurate.
• Generate inventory reports for executive management as needed.
• Resolve inquiries and escalate concerns professionally.
• Support finance group related to POs/PRs and reconciliations.
• Learn new tasks and processes to support organizational growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Chemistry or Life Sciences preferred.
• 0-2 years of relevant procurement/supply chain experience preferred.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels.
• Ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts.
• Self-starter capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Management.
