About the position

The Manager, Supply Chain Planner is responsible for executing plans that support end-to-end inventory strategies. This role involves leading Supplier Management activities, ensuring on-time delivery of goods, building relationships with external vendors, and supporting ordering and safety stock strategies for the site.

Responsibilities

  • Translate supply plan into executable purchase orders with internal sites and third-party manufacturers.
  • Establish purchasing and supply attributes for all material and maintain within the MRP system.
  • Resolve and document purchase order discrepancies such as non-conformance, shortages, or price discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Review purchase order acknowledgements daily for compliance to price, delivery and other terms and conditions.
  • Be the first point of contact for all US suppliers and ensure early involvement of the right people from the key supplier management team on various supplier related topics.
  • Track and report the progress of all Key Supplier Management (KSM) activities and report progress to the Tech Ops Leadership Team annually.
  • Perform annual supplier financial health checks and supplier demand planning and capacity assessments.
  • Manage performance to contract including quality evaluations for GxP suppliers, OTIF service levels, and communication on pricing.
  • Support tech transfer of new products and new GMP material by ensuring compliance in terms of Technical Agreements and change controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Materials Management experience.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.
  • Previous operations experience and exposure to manufacturing materials principles and concepts preferred.
  • Experience in ERP (Oracle or SAP) is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
